Overview

The McQueen theme was developed for XOLogic to deliver a modern, high-performance website that showcases a wide range of products. The goal was to create a seamless user experience with lightning-fast website load times and efficient catalog loading, ensuring customers could easily explore the product offerings.

My Role

I collaborated with co-workers to develop the site using HTML, CSS, PHP, and jQuery, focusing on creating a clean, responsive design and smooth navigation. My responsibility was to ensure the site performed efficiently across all devices while bringing the product catalog to life in alignment with the brand’s vision.

Process

I began by structuring the site with semantic HTML to create a solid foundation for the layout. Using CSS, I styled the site to reflect the brand’s aesthetic, ensuring visual consistency across pages. PHP was used to manage dynamic content and catalog data, while jQuery powered interactive features like dropdown menus and dynamic product displays. To achieve fast load times, I optimized images, streamlined code, and implemented efficient catalog loading techniques tailored to the large product dataset.

Results

The final website for the McQueen theme provided an engaging and responsive online platform that allowed customers to browse the product catalog effortlessly.
