Park and Cartwrightlighting: Two Stores, One Website

Overview

Park Lighting & Furniture and Cartwright Lighting & Furniture needed a modern, user-friendly website to showcase their wide range of lighting and home furnishing products. Their goal was to give customers an easy way to explore their catalog online while reflecting the quality and style of their brand.

My Role

I developed the site using HTML, CSS, and jQuery, focusing on clean design, responsive layouts, and smooth navigation. My responsibility was to ensure the site worked well across all devices while staying true to the company’s branding.

Process

I started by translating the initial design concept into a structured layout with semantic HTML. From there, I styled the site with CSS to highlight their products and create a consistent visual theme. To improve user experience, I integrated jQuery for interactive features like dropdown menus and dynamic content displays. I also optimized images and code for faster load times, which was important given the large product catalog.
